The Michael Greenberger Collection was started in 2014 by Greenberger's intense infatuation with the first European-made porcelain, eighteenth century Meissen. The collection, which consists of just over 100 pieces of Meissen from the first half of the the eighteenth century, includes some of the best of examples from the 300-year-old porcelain manufacturer. Some of these come from illustrious backgrounds such as from the Rockefellers, Oppenheimers, and Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The objects are all cataloged and are accessible for viewing on a public portal. Greenberger has also published his first book, "Early Meissen Porcelain - The Michael Greenberger Collection", which was produced with assistance from the Meissen Manufactory Archives in Dresden as well as other great historians and researchers who are incredibly knowledgeable in Meissen porcelain.
Today the collection, located in New York City, continues to actively acquire new pieces. Items in the collection are not for sale. Temporary and long-term loans to museums and galleries are available. Viewings are can be made available upon special requests.
